Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Property Manager to support the day-to-day operations of a commercial office portfolio totaling approximately 500,000 square feet across seven properties in Houston. This role works closely with the Property Manager to ensure high-quality tenant service, efficient building operations, and strong financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing daily operations of multiple office properties
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for tenant requests and ensure timely resolution
  • Coordinate maintenance and vendor services; oversee service contracts
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes
  • Review and process invoices, track expenses, and assist with reconciliations
  • Conduct property inspections to ensure appearance and maintenance standards
  • Assist with lease administration, including abstracting and tracking key dates
  • Coordinate tenant move-ins/move-outs and buildout activities
  • Ensure compliance with building policies, procedures, and safety regulations
  • Support capital improvement projects as needed
Qualifications
  • 2–5+ years of experience in commercial property management (office preferred)
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and tenant relations abilities
  • Familiarity with property management software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, or similar)
  • Basic understanding of leases, CAM reconciliations, and budgeting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Compensation
  • Salary Range: $65,000 – $85,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
  • Performance-based bonus potential
Schedule
  • Full-time, Monday – Friday
  • Standard business hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Occasional after-hours availability may be required for emergencies or special projects
